I started blogging 6 years ago, which led me into being passionate about storytelling, advertising and marketing. Blogging then led me to meeting so many people, near and far, and I saw how much certain area’s needed resources. So that led me into more of Community Engagement. Finally, after being involved so much in community, my son also participated and his brand Books N Bros has fueled fire beneath me to advocate wholeheartedly for today’s (and future) youth.

6 Year Highlights:

• Blog TheWireHangerByWinnie has reached over 40,000 views around the world, which allowed me to speak in Washington DC and multiple events locally in St. Louis, MO

• Over 5 million engagements of bringing awareness to positivity in the black community regarding entrepreneurship, faith, social justice and tech.

• Facilitated empowering events focused on serving local families in underserved communities with free food in food deserts; also provided new brand new clothes to families who could use the help without any strings attached.

• Being trusted by big brands such as Microsoft, Kia Motors, and Verizon to host and market their services.

• Traveling to Canada to speak with moms at a conference about the importance of motherhood and navigating that space as an entrepreneur

• SUPPORT FOR TRANSPORTATION - $1200 (FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS I HAVE OPERATED WITHOUT A CAR. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, AS A SINGLE MOM THIS HASN’T BEEN EASY BUT I HAVE NEVER STOPPED SHOWING UP! HAVING MY OWN WHEELS INSTEAD OF RELYING ON UBER/LYFT AND LOVED ONES WOULD HELP TO ALLEVIATE SOME STRESS AND SAVE DOLLARS!)

• NEW MACBOOK PRO - $1400 (I WORK FOR MYSELF FULL-TIME AND I USE MY MACBOOK FOR MY BRAND AS WELL AS BOOKS N BROS AND ITS WORN OUT AND DAMAGED!)
